Princess Marie Alexandra Victoria of Edinburgh born on 29 October 1875 at Eastwell Park (near Ashford) was Queen Victoria’s 24th grandchild. She was the eldest daughter of Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh and Marie Alexandrovna, Grand Duchess of Russia.
